Why this Miami women’s basketball morning game is built for South Florida schools

Miami’s Nov. 16 women’s basketball home game stands out because the university has framed it as an Education Game built for local elementary students, families, and teachers. With an 11 a.m. Tipoff at Watsco Center in Coral Gables and STEM programming tied to the event, it is one of the clearest school-centered dates on the early home schedule.

Why this matchup matters

This game stands out because Miami has framed it as an Education Game with an 11 a.m. Start, making it especially relevant for South Florida schools and families. The event is designed for local elementary students in kindergarten through fifth grade and is tied to STEM learning at Watsco Center in Coral Gables.

Where to eat before the show

A morning game changes the rhythm of the day, so the best food choice is one that fits the schedule without slowing it down. The ANDOPO picks in this category are built for a pregame meal that works with an 11 a.m. Start.

Get ready for the night

For an Education Game, the pregame routine matters. This is the category for a clean haircut, a quick refresh, or a polished start before heading to Watsco Center.

After the show

If the morning game opens up your afternoon, this category covers the later side of the day. The ANDOPO picks here are for a postgame stop that shifts the outing beyond the arena.

Make it a full day

This category is for turning the matchup into more than a single stop. The ANDOPO picks here help shape a longer Coral Gables day around the game itself.
